Terms of Service

Effective date: July 16, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of CrawlChat websites, applications, hosted chat widgets, APIs, integrations, and related services ("CrawlChat" or the "Service").

By using CrawlChat, you agree to these Terms. If you are using CrawlChat on behalf of a company or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" means that organization.

The service

CrawlChat helps teams create AI agents from documentation, website content, uploaded files, and connected knowledge sources. Customers can deploy agents through a website widget, API, Slack, Discord, GitHub, MCP, and other supported channels.

We may add, change, or remove features from time to time. Some features may be labeled beta, preview, experimental, or similar and may be less reliable than generally available features.

Accounts and security

You may need an account to use CrawlChat. You agree to provide accurate account information, keep your credentials secure, maintain appropriate access controls for your team, and promptly notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.

You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account, API keys, integrations, and connected channels.

Customer content

"Customer Content" means content, data, prompts, files, messages, tickets, source material, configuration, and other information that you or your users submit to CrawlChat or connect to CrawlChat.

You retain ownership of Customer Content. You grant CrawlChat the rights needed to host, process, transmit, display, index, search, embed, analyze, and otherwise use Customer Content to provide, secure, support, and improve the Service.

You represent that you have all rights, permissions, and lawful bases needed to submit Customer Content to CrawlChat and to allow CrawlChat to process it. You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and quality of Customer Content and for how your users interact with agents you configure.

AI output

CrawlChat uses AI systems and third-party model providers to generate responses and perform related features. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, offensive, or unsuitable for your use case.

You are responsible for reviewing and validating AI output before relying on it, especially for legal, medical, financial, safety-critical, employment, housing, or other high-impact decisions. CrawlChat does not provide professional advice.

Because AI systems can produce similar output for different users, you do not receive exclusive rights to any output that is independently generated for others.

Integrations and third-party services

CrawlChat can connect to third-party services such as Slack, Discord, GitHub, Google Chat, Notion, Confluence, Linear, payment processors, model providers, and other tools. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies.

You are responsible for configuring integrations correctly, granting only appropriate permissions, and ensuring that connected services and channels are authorized for the data you process through CrawlChat.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • violate laws, regulations, intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or third-party terms;
  • submit or process data you are not authorized to use;
  • use CrawlChat to create, distribute, or amplify malware, spam, phishing, scams, or abusive content;
  • attempt to bypass rate limits, access controls, security controls, or usage restrictions;
  • reverse engineer, scrape, probe, overload, disrupt, or interfere with the Service;
  • use the Service to build a competing product by copying CrawlChat features, design, or functionality;
  • share API keys, tokens, or credentials with unauthorized parties;
  • use CrawlChat for high-risk decisions without appropriate human review and safeguards; or
  • use the Service in a way that could harm CrawlChat, our users, our providers, or the public.

We may suspend or limit access if we believe your use violates these Terms, creates security or legal risk, could harm the Service, or could cause liability for CrawlChat or others.

Plans, credits, and payments

CrawlChat may offer free plans, paid subscriptions, one-time purchases, credit top-ups, lifetime deals, usage-based features, and add-ons. Plan details, limits, and pricing are shown on the website, checkout page, or other order flow.

Paid plans are billed in advance unless stated otherwise. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You authorize CrawlChat and our payment processor to charge your payment method for applicable fees, taxes, renewals, and overages.

You can cancel a subscription through your account or billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not automatically refund amounts already paid. Your access remains active until the end of the current paid period unless stated otherwise.

First-time subscribers may request a refund within 14 days of sign-up. Refunds outside that period are discretionary unless required by law. Lifetime deals provide access for the lifetime of the CrawlChat product, not your lifetime or the lifetime of any particular feature, and may end if the product is discontinued.

We may change prices, plan limits, or included features. If a change affects an active paid subscription, we will provide notice when required and apply changes according to the applicable billing terms.

Service availability

We aim to provide a reliable service, but CrawlChat may be unavailable or degraded because of maintenance, updates, incidents, third-party outages, capacity limits, or events outside our control. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

Privacy and data security

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use information. Our Data Privacy & Security page summarizes how we handle customer knowledge base content, conversations, AI processing, access controls, and deletion.

By using CrawlChat, you agree that we may process data as described in those pages and as needed to provide the Service.

Intellectual property

CrawlChat and its software, design, trademarks, documentation, and related materials are owned by CrawlChat or our licensors. Except for the limited right to use the Service under these Terms, we do not grant you rights to CrawlChat intellectual property.

Feedback is voluntary. If you send us ideas, suggestions, or feedback, you grant us the right to use it without restriction or compensation.

Termination

You may stop using CrawlChat at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, fail to pay amounts due, create risk for the Service or others, or if we discontinue the Service.

After termination, your right to use CrawlChat ends. We may delete Customer Content according to our retention practices and legal obligations.

Disclaimers

CrawlChat is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, and reliability.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CrawlChat will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, goodwill, data, or business opportunities.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CrawlChat's total liability for any claim relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the amounts you paid to CrawlChat for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD $100 if you have not paid CrawlChat.

Indemnity

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CrawlChat from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your Customer Content, your use of the Service, your integrations, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the effective date above. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice when appropriate. Your continued use of CrawlChat after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Texas, without regard to conflict of law rules. The courts located in Austin, Texas will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the Service, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
